A New Year. A New Everything.
|
There’s something about the beginning of the new year that feels different when you’ve truly lived your way into it. |
|
2026 didn’t arrive quietly for me. It came with clarity, expansion, and a deeper understanding of the work I’m here to do. |
|
I've held off on sending this first newsletter because I didn’t want it to be a recap. I wanted it to feel like stepping into what’s unfolding next. |
|
What I’m building at Ozean has shifted. It’s more precise. More intentional. And more aligned with how I want to work with you. |

So, take a moment for yourself, settle in, and come into my world for a bit. Big News No. 1The Website Has Evolved. The new Ozean site is LIVE
And more than anything, it finally feels like an extension of how I work in person. When you step into it, you’re not just reading about what I do. You start to understand how I see, how I approach the body. What I pay attention to that most people overlook. It gives you a clearer sense of the experience before you even walk through the door. If you’ve worked with me before, you’ll recognize it immediately. if you haven’t, this is where it begins.
From the CommunityThrough a Trained Eye.Teaching requires a different level of precision.
For over 25 years, I’ve been involved in helping raise guide dog puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Over time, that experience has grown into something much deeper. I’ve become extended family to many of the individuals who have received a dog that I co-raised, which has given me a unique window into their world. Through those relationships, I’ve also had the opportunity to introduce Pilates in a private, one-on-one setting. That experience has shaped the way I teach in a very specific way. When someone can't rely on watching movement, the way I cue becomes everything. The words I choose, the timing behind them, and how I guide someone into position so they can actually feel it in their body. We spend time building balance and spatial awareness, understanding where the body is in space, how weight shifts, and how to move with confidence without needing to see it. And often, their guide dog is right there beside them, quietly present, taking it in. There’s a calm focus in those sessions that stays with you. It’s made me more precise, more thoughtful. More aware of what’s actually landing. Experiences like this continue to refine my eyes and reinforce that this work goes far beyond how something looks. It’s about what you feel, understand, and trust in your body long after you leave.
Community + HeartJoining the Ozean FamilyYou’ll start noticing a new presence around Ozean. I brought her in with intention. Her name is Faith Wambui.
Faith brings a warmth and level of care that you feel right away, along with a precision that naturally supports the way I work. Originally from Kenya, she adds a global perspective that quietly enriches the experience here. She also keeps me organized and on track with projects outside the studio, which allows me to stay fully present where I’m needed most. There’s a steadiness to her, a thoughtfulness, and a creativity in how she approaches things that continues to elevate what we’re building.
Big News No. 2Wear the World of Ozean

Meine Studio Ergo Sleeve
There are certain things I recommend because they genuinely support how people move and feel day to day, and the Meine Studio Ergo Sleeve is one of them. Designed to support the way modern bodies move and work, the Meine Studio Ergo Sleeve helps ease the tension that builds from long hours sitting, working at a desk, traveling, or constantly looking down at screens. What I appreciate most is that it encourages more awareness around posture and alignment throughout the day, especially between Pilates sessions, when daily habits often undo the work we’re building in the studio. Ozean recently collaborated with Meine Studio through a shared focus on posture, alignment, and supporting the body beyond the Pilates session itself. It’s a reminder that the small things we do consistently throughout the day often shape how our body feels the most. Use code OZEANSLEEVE26 for a special discount. Discover the Meine Ergo Sleeve
